Boddeke group
Currently, an increasing number of transcriptome data sets are published in scientific journals and in databases. Our group maintains a Glia Open Access Database (GOAD), a comprehensive tool to access and analyze glia transcriptome data of microglia, astrocytes and oligodendrocytes. The group also develops new methods for the analysis of transcriptome and epigenetic data and is involved in data analysis for many glia research projects at the section medical physiology of the UMCG department of neuroscience. In addition the group has extensive collaborations with international research groups as well as with pharmaceutical companies.
