  • Title: Cognitive neuroscience of mild cognitive impairment: towards a better understanding of underlying brain structure and function.

Project: With the general population getting increasingly older, there is a clear societal need for a scientific focus on healthy ageing. One issue that deserves more attention than it currently does, is the neuropsychiatric problems in dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).

The construct of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) provides a framework towards the early diagnosis of dementia. Understanding the neuropsychiatric problems in dementia and MCI and its underlying neural mechanisms might aid in understanding the different courses in cognitive ageing and setting a foundation for future intervention studies.

Funding: LPDP (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education).
