NEMI funded by the national Roadmap
12 April 2018
NEMI (Netherlands Electron Microscopy Infrastructure) gives access to advanced electron microscopy (EM) technology, expertise and development. NEMI, coordinated by UMCU, has been awarded a multimillion infrastructure grant to allow state-of-the-art EM in several national centers.
The UMCG microscopy & imaging center (UMIC) will focus on large-scale open-access EM (Google-earth like EM or ‘Nanotomy 2.0’), including acquiring a fast multi-beam EM. Moreover, the UMCG takes the lead in big data management.
