ZONMW TOP grant Prof. dr. Bart Eggen

Prof. Dr. Bart Eggen head of the Section Molecular Neurobiology , together with Ronald van Kesteren, Klaus Linkenkaer-Hansen (VU University Amsterdam) and Philip Scheltens, Alida Gouw (Amsterdam UMC), has received a ZONMW TOP grant of 650,000 euro. In the project Interneuron networks in Alzheimer’s disease: diagnostic and therapeutic implications they are going to investigate early abnormalities in brain activity patterns. These could indicate a preclinical stage of Alzheimer’s disease, more knowledge about this may possibly make new treatments possible before the disease reveals itself.
