Yue Sun MSc

I’m Yue Sun, a PhD student from the molecular cell biology section. I mainly focus on the intestinal dysfunction of MEDNIK syndrome and sigma-1A subunit of adaptor protein 1 (AP1S1). MEDNIK syndrome showed deafness, intestinal and neurological disorders among patients. This disease is caused by the mutation of AP1S1. Adaptor protein 1 is involved in protein sorting, and the mechanism of this protein is still uncertain. Thus, we hope that MEDNIK study can contribute to the understanding of AP1S1.
