Title: The role of microglia in Alzheimer’s disease development and progression
Project: The project focuses to the transcriptome of Aβ-plaques associated microglia from human Alzheimer’s disease (AD) patients. Based on this, we aim to isolate and sort microglia from diffrent brain regions, and subsequently perform RNA sequencing to discover microglia subtypes that could related to AD development and progression. And this project belongs to one branch of microglia projects on neurodegenerative disease to identify (epi)genetic & transcriptomic alterations in the onset, development and progression of neurodegenerative disease, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and multiple Sclerosis (MS).
